From July 20 to August 18, 2018, will be held the 38th edition of the International Piano Festival of Roque d 'Anthéron.
Created in 1980, 38 years ago, the Roque D'Anthéron festival is the result of the work of two music and piano lovers, Paul Onoratini (1920-2010), then mayor of La Roque-d'Anthéron and René Martin, then trainee at the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs.
Over time, it has become a must-have, a benchmark in this field, on the international pianistic scene, where young artists mingle with international artists to the delight of festival-goers.
The high point of the festivities, even if other sites have appeared, remains the scene of the Château de Florans Park which has the distinction of being an open stage with exceptional acoustics.
It hosts classical concertos and piano recitals, as well as more contemporary jazz and electro creations.
So this year's program, not far from 80 concerts, concertos, recitals will be honored for more than a month.
French artists like Chamayou, François-Frédéric Guy, Adam Laloum, Anne Queffélec, Boffard, Remi Geniet, Pennetier, Kadouch, Claire Désert ... but also artists from the East with the pianists Lugansky, Berezovsky, Geniusas, Volodin, Avdeïeva, Virtuoso artists of all horizons will come to upset you playing Schubert, Mozart, Chopin, Beethoven or Schumann.
